Sucker, *laughs* you are right to an extent. Red steel I have not played, read the review though and yeah sounds like its not very polished. However, Wii Sports is a blast,(Bowling/Tennis Mainly, I have not dont golf much, Baseball is fun just not AS fun. And Boxing is ok XD). Monkey Ball has some great mini games. *laughs*, You are RIGHT that, not all games will utilize the Wii to its fullest, but ALL of them so far have utilised it in some way!(<--Has one, been playing it). Some more then others . BOY let me tell you LMAO, it is a WORKOUT to play the wii! so much fun. I dont know if I will EVER be able to play a console the same way again..... I have not played COD3 yet(have it, not played yet, been busy with friends with otehr games) But the way the controls are deisgned for that game, I think will be GREAT.(I will let you know). I Argue the other way, I think people are overestimating the "greatness" of teh ps3, its not all about hardware. hahaha. Boy is it not. mwhaha I am not much into Football games, but I can see myself enjoying madden on the wii, actually hiking the ball with a motion, throwing with a motion. ahh. Fun and Simple, Taking gaming to a new level.(played some, but not too much.) What else, I also have Zelda, but have nto played that one at all ethier. (Been playing multiplayer games duh, with friends. Not singleplayer, although I notice Zelda is supposed to be a GREAT game. For that type.).. Overall, Loving the Wii. A Workout and Fun? wth. XD I HIGHLY no, I KNOW for sure, I will not enjoy games on the ps3 as much. Boy, the Wii has Ruined me. Thanks Nintendo, I will never be able to enjoy another console again, Bastards XD. In Closing(Of this post. mwhaha ). The Wii is still new to me, but so far=The Most Fun I have Ever had on a Console, and dare I say it, maybe the most fun playing a GAME ever. Now its still new to me, and I know it will wear down(duh all things do). I am sure the PS3 will dominate as far as visuals, but boy, The Price for how much fun you get? I am thinking Wii ftw . (Duh, Gameplay over Graphics )

I'm not going to get any of them, because they're all expensive. So price isn't an issue in my preference, lol. Therefore, my loyalty to FF7 and trhe possibility of a remake calls my vote to the PS3.
All my favorite games are on Nintendo 64 and PS, anyways.

Just got an xbox 360 premium. It's a great system and can still hold up with the new ps3. Gears of war is just an amazing game. If your thinking about getting one I recommend it.

All my favorite games are on Nintendo 64 and PS, anyways. Old school FTW! Anyway. I'm up there with Fly and his posts. I don't have a wii (yet!) but i intend to get one soon. My friends say stuff close to what Fly said. After they played the wii then played something on the ps2 or xbox 360, they said it just wasn't as good as the wii. I also prefer gameplay over graphics. Got to play Gears of War for about 3 days over the weekend (friday, saturday, and sunday) when my cousin came over and I have to say about 2 hours into it i was bored. At first the visuals were nice and the combat system was even better, but in the end it was just pointless system. Not even the story was that good. Also, there was only one vehicle? And the only gun on it was an ulta-bright light? I may be wrong about it, but it wasn't fun to just burn bats with it. Don't get me wrong, not all of it is bad. The vs was pretty fun. I enjoyed finding a sniper rifle, popping up from a bridge or something, shotting my cousin and saying "BOOM HEADSHOT!" Or come up to him and say "BOOM BOOTSTOMP!" Anyway, I didn't like it that much. I might be going to a friends house to play a wii today (I HOPE!). So I'll come back later and post my view on it. EDIT: Holy crap, is this my first non-colored post?

Duh gameplay>graphics? If you think nintendo has better gameplay then the others your wrong yes they have zelda and resident evil4(RE5 will be for ps3 and 360 but not Wii)but ps3 has way more awesome games. And as to the controler does ps3 not have the same motion capabilities....yes it does.
Also go to gamespot.com and check out Red Steel that s---ty game got a 5.5

PS3's gameplay doesn't seem...full. To me, their games is always missing something. I admit, it does have a few solid games such as the Metal Gear Solid Series, for example. But what I see when i look at it is "Oh, look. A new basketball game. Same gameplay, new story mode and being able to customize your guy. Wow..." To me, games like that are just the same game remade for another year. And thats about all i see for the PS3 and PS2 when i look. A whole bunch of sports games. (I'll probably get flamed for saying that.)
If you think about it i think it finally boils down to you're own personal interest. This topic is starting to turn into a topic with console fanboys arguing over which is better. Everyone has their own opinion. Mine: Wii is better. Carbine's: PS3 is where its at. They each have their cons and pros. So i think I'll stop posting here before i start sounding like a console fanboy.
P.S: Sony stole the motion sensor off the Wii. They didn't implement it until they saw the Wii .
EDIT: Also, when we say gameplay, we mean what it says. GAMEPLAY. Not sitting down and pressing buttons. Actually up and moving. Playing the game. THAT is what makes the Wii revelutionary. Not just tilting it a little to the left and right for racing games like the PS3.

Um, I am not speaking of NINTENDO vs SONY here Carbine. I Agree Previously, that it was like this. to an extent, PS2<>Xbox>Gamecube(Actually, I prefered the Xbox over the PS2). However, Even the gamecube had really fun games. It seems to me, you are looking for a differant type of game then I am . Yeah, pretty sad Red Steel was not Polished more before release, looked like a fun game, but from what I read it will not be. But Seriously, you cant judge a console because 1 game is bad, all consoles have their crappy games . If you have read that review, I am sure you have read the reviews of others, so you know others are good. As for the ps3 controller sensitivity, you are right, I BELIEVE they have detecting for the full 6 degrees. 1. Moving up and down (heaving); 2. Moving left and right (swaying); 3. Moving forward and backward (surging); 4. Tilting up and down (pitching); 5. Turning left and right (yawing); 6. Tilting side to side (rolling). And thats Great!. With that, I am betting you will see things like, Tilting it and Turning it for flying/racing games and such. Thats cool. But here we come to a differance, Wii's Controlers Design vs the Ps3's. I see FPS's Being GREAT on the wii, you actually hold you arms like a real gun and aim right where you are wanting to shoot?!?!?!= Just fun. Fps's on all previous consoles have just Paled in comparision to fps's on a PC. and now, the Wii make take the vote from me for fps games, we will see though. Now, you also have to keep in mind, there are TWO parts to the Wii's controler, Having sensitivity for the 6 Degrees in EACH HAND, brings up more possibilitys. Then only in one, that you hold with both hands . The Design of the Wii's Controls is just Grand. oh yeah, you also have the Pointer Detection on the Wii as well, opening up more possibilitys. So, yep you are right, it DOES(Ps3) have 6 degree detection for its controler(key word here). But how you hold it and what they will be able to do with it, will not be as advanced in that arena as the Wii. But the Ps3 will have the power over the Wii, so look for very very pretty things on the Ps3. But look for more creative games on the Wii. Both are good, But for me: Wii all the way. *laughs* nothing beats everyone standing in a room playing tennis XD, or standing aiming like a gun playing dm XD. its just great. <----Very Impressed with the Design of the Wii Contolers, simply GREAT. Edit: (seems hizune posted as I was typing this, LOL, so let me add on) Hes right, smiles, like I said preferance. If you want little improvements in the gameplay department, but GREAT graphics for the games you love PS3 FTW. But if you want New Gameplay much better gameplay over graphics *laughs* Wii ftw . Really just preferance. But he is right, that is what we mean when we say GAMEPLAY. Edit 2: However I disagree this will turn into fanboys flaming. smiles, we are just discussing. I understand people will love the ps3 for reasons, just like I am loving the Wii for Reasons. The Point of Discussing(to me) is to present those points and compare and help people get an understanding of the other side . No Flaming here <3

IMHO, I think Wii would benefit more my needs...looking at the prices for these consoles @_@ But, it would be nice to have them all. Personally, I love the Nintendo for all the multiplayer games you can play with your friends. Also the online feature seems to be a plus. Though, I love the Sony games for their RPG's (FF series and such). I'm not a real fan of the Xbox, but I don't doubt that it is a great console. So, basically, Wii is for me. =]

Theyve already announced the possibility of another type of controller for the ps3 so fps are better. Also theres the fact that nintendo has no really good first person shooters so their controllers goes to waste. and the multiplayer thing yes its better with close friends i guess but again once ps3 has another remote theyll be the same and altho i hear nintendo is trying tro get into the online gaming community it will fail horribly.IMO i think its better to pay a lot of money for something that brings more new things into gaming then 250$ for something that recently has not had many great games and brings only a stupid stick to wave around at the screen.

To me it seems like Sony just copy Microsoft and Nintendo. I remember that they announced 2 seperate consoles for ps3, 1 600 and 1 800 but wait... didnt 360 come out for sale as 2 seperate console package? wtf? Nintendo Wiimote is motion sensors which is pretty same as ps3 6 axis. wtf?

Selene, Please. Do not insight Yelling . or Flaming Um, yeah though, What about Call of Duty 3?. (Red steel doesnt appear to be too good, but multiplayer I hear is fun). Carbine, I could give "hopes" for the future about the Wii as well . And you are wrong, there have been great titles already. Responding to your last post carbine , 1, The "Possibility" of another type of controller. Well cool for them. Lets see it happen and how expensive it is. 2, Nintendo has no good Fps's? What about Call of Duty 3?. 3, Your knowledge of nintendo failing at getting into the online market is amazing(yes a little sarcasm hehe , you just may be surprized . 4, You think the ps3 brings MORE to gaming? I beg to differ. The Wii brings more, and is cheaper . 5, That stupid stick you wave around? you where just happy that ps3 might be getting something like it, and now you dont like it? daboo? XD.. Swinging that stupid stick is more fun then you would think . *laughs* Last thought, Games will get better for BOTH the Wii and the Ps3 no DOUBT . And I have no doubt BOTH are GOOD for the Console market, they are both pushing the boundries in differant ways . Which I think is good for all later on <3, Any other thoughts?

Ummm #1 call of duty 3 is not even exclusive and thats about the only example of an ok fps of theres and maybe metroid but thats not rly just an fps.
Plus call of Duty 3 wasnt a good game least not on the wii
Heres review comparison ps3 call of duty got a 8.1 or 8.2 while the wii got 7.1.
Also this whole thread kinda pointless theyre all great systems and they each have their strongpoints.
ps3:Strong line of eclusive games and best system specs xbox:dominant in hardcoring gaming(online and first person shooter wii:Originality and games that are more geared toward sillyfun with friends.
Personally ill buy any of them when i can becuz theyre all gonna be fun.Ps3 will be my ff and all those other awesome japanese games wii will be rayman and zelda and xbox is halo and gears of war(heard gears of war is the s--- i cant wait to play it)

Nintendo Wiimote is motion sensors which is pretty same as ps3 6 axis. wtf? Ehh... no. Everybody borrows off of other people's ideas, otherwise the gaming industry would be composed of a bunch of people with like one good unique feature and everythng else would be lame. If you want to look at it that way, the PS2 was released before the Gamecube and Xbox, and the PS2's controller (Which was the same as the PS' anaglog controller) was the first controller to allign the two analog sticks the way they did. The Xbox controller TOTALLY copied the design, and the Gamecube did too to a lesser extent. Of course, no one really complains because the controller design was really solid and it would be a hinderance to the other gaming systems if it didn't have a similar design. Technically, they made motion sensing controllers for the PC along time ago too, and as a more recent example, the PS2's Eyetoy is technically a motion-sensing device. Not to say the Playstation hasn't copied off ideas too, it obviously has, but that is what needs to be done to advance the industry in the right direction. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all need to do it. Adn no I'm not a total PS3 fan, I want a Wii too, but I'm waiting for something really good and genuinely unique to come out.
