I have dreams about people in Soldat or me playing Soldat. Soldat to me is not just a game. It's a hobby that I enjoy to do.
Gaming is not an addiction. It's a lifestyle.

I agree with da nems its a lifestyle .I also think the people who say they dont care about it since its just a game are mostly liars.if its just a game then why do many of them get so mad when a person thats new to soldat and still needs to learn gets on and they curse them out and try to get them votekicked. So i guess my point is #1 stop lieing most ppl who play soldat care in some way shape or form about it and #2We were all new at some point try to teach instead of insult.

Ok .Also to what noldi wrote about Russel being good at soldat so people look up to him if thats true theres something wrong there.I respect many people who may have less skills then me but a personality that makes you able to get along with them well.Guess my point is the whole soldat community at large wont respect just for skills.

Can I be the first not to agree with everyone else?
I can certainly appreciate your irritation, Ice. (I also see why you don't actually respond to my IMs.) I can admit to forgetting that the servers cost real money. I can attest to the temptation to abuse admin powers. I can get caught up in winning or losing. I even cuss at people on occasion.
But at the end of the day, Soldat IS NOT my life.
I like a lot of you guys. Some of you I am not very fond of. Like Ice said, you have responsibility for what you do online. Allegations to destroy someone's reputation...impersonating someone...childish insults. It's not that I take them personally, but I can tell that the person behind the computer behind the little pixellated soldier has issues with maturity if s/he can't be civil with someone s/he can't even see.
But Ice, someone has got to point out that this is more drama. It's not as if you're personally responsible for everyone's problems on your server, but are providing a service, and you have chosen to make yourself available in some sense by publishing your AIM. If people can get you to do something about their "problems," they will. Those people are complaining about things that they can control (or at least try to control e.g. votekick). So are you, in a manner of speaking. I keep my name, AIM, picture, and so on private to avoid people who would irritate me. You chose to publish a way to bother you. That has consequences.
I can sympathize, but I will speak my mind.
