Ingredients:
A 2x4 longer than how long you want the hanle length to be.
1x3's for the blade, againg, you choose how many you want and the length. (i beleive that on the original kattana's the handle was half the length of the blade, correct me if i'm wrong.)
PVC pipe, for all the gold parts. (you need to determine the width from the width of the wood you are covering, depending on the size of the handle, and the next item along with it is...)
Plexiglass, for all the flat parts.
Belting, for the handle grip, any color you want, go down to Ragshop or another fabric store. Needs to be really really really tight so that it can't move once on the handle.
Primer, for the blade, it needs like 5-8 coats sanding it in between coats, because if you paint it right away, it still looks like wood.
Nitro StanThis is optional if your sanding job is really good you dont need this, but it fills in cracks easily, like really thick paint.
Shiney Gold spray paint (if you want gold parts like mine)
Chrome spray paint (for the blade)
Contact cement (makes making the belting tight a lot easier)
PVC Cement, for gluing pvc to other pvc or plexiglass.
Tools:
Heat gun for heating and bending plexiglass or pvc into the right shape.
Belt sander, for sanding stuff, makes sanding easier.
Screw driver, to attach the blade to the handle with screws.
Band Saw, for cuting handle shape and pvc/ plexiglass.
Table saw, for precise cutting of angles (like the blade sharpness)
Industrial Vacum Cleaner, have it on when sanding, or table sawing so you don't kill your lungs with wood or pvc particles.
Vice, for holding stuff still while you do whatever to it.
Wood Shaver. Looks like a Cheese Grater, makes the shape of the wood before you sand it.
Window fan or fan you can tie to the winow, for when you spray paint stuff.
An experienced person, with or without imagination.
An imagination, for ways of accomplishing the building tasks the easiest or what looks best.
A file, to file down the pvc before you paint it.
This is all i can think of, oh, and maybe a week or two to make it.
hope this helps.
